20 startups selected for the Fit 4 start #15 programme

The names of the 20 startups that will participate in the 15th edition of the Fit 4 Start acceleration programme at the beginning of 2025 were officially announced during the Luxembourg Venture Days, the flagship event of the Luxembourg startup ecosystem. The Luxembourg Venture Days, which attracted more than 2,600 people to Luxexpo The Box, were organised on 16 and 17 October jointly by Luxinnovation and the Luxembourg Private Equity Association, under the aegis of Startup Luxembourg.

Luxembourg Venture Days to unite investors, startups and innovators on 16 and 17 october 2024

The second edition of the Luxembourg Venture Days will gather investors, startups, and innovators in a joint summit on 16 and 17 October 2024 at Luxexpo The Box. The annual event is organised by Luxembourg’s innovation agency Luxinnovation and the Luxembourg Private Equity and VC Association (LPEA) under the umbrella of Startup Luxembourg, the country’s network to promote its startup ecosystem. This event offers a unique opportunity for investors and startups to connect and explore new partnerships and investment opportunities.

Lex Delles and Sasha Baillie announce simplification of "Fit 4" programmes and support for artificial intelligence at presentation of Luxinnovation annual report

On the sidelines of the presentation of Luxinnovation's 2023 annual report at Fours Hein, Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, and Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation, announced the standardisation of the "Fit 4" programmes and the launch of a new programme: Fit 4 Digital – AI, dedicated to artificial intelligence. At the same time, the Minister announced the introduction of a new SME package focusing on artificial intelligence.

The 2024 Fit 4 Start Graduate Showcase, held at Luxexpo The Box alongside the Nexus 2050 event, celebrated 15 startups that successfully completed the 14th edition of the startup acceleration programme managed by Luxinnovation.

The three start-ups of the scale-up pilot programme are now known

The scale-up support pilot programme initiated by the Ministry of the Economy and managed by Luxinnovation has been designed to support advanced-stage start-ups which are on an accelerated growth trajectory and have plans for international expansion. The programme reached a key milestone with the selection of three start-ups that will participate in this first pilot edition.

Luxembourg joins the European Startup Nation Alliance

On the sidelines of the Vivatech trade fair, where Luxembourg's start-up ecosystem will be represented in a national pavilion, Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot announced that Luxembourg has joined ESNA, the European Startup Nation Alliance, which aims to improve the European entrepreneurial ecosystem. The national innovation agency, Luxinnovation, will represent the country within this European alliance.

A new brochure presenting the Creative industries

The General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises presented a new brochure featuring Luxembourg’s creative industries at an event of the Luxembourg Creative Industries Cluster hosted by 1535° Creative Hub Differdange. Developed by Luxinnovation in close collaboration with the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, the publication highlights the importance of the creative industries for the country and promotes the matchmaking platform just made available to Luxembourg’s creative industry stakeholders.

Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub gets new European dimension

The designation as European Digital Innovation Hub (E-DIH) broadens the scope of the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) as a one-stop-shop for the digital transformation of the Luxembourg manufacturing sector by providing additional channels and financial resources for more impact in Luxembourg and Europe. With Luxinnovation, the national innovation agency, continuing its role as coordinator, four additional partners now join the L-DIH consortium to considerably extend its service offer.

Luxinnovation and LIST sign MoU to develop the Sustainable Composite Materials Centre

On 4 April, Luxinnovation and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the development of the recently inaugurated Sustainable Composite Materials and Manufacturing Innovation Centre (SCMM). This cooperation agreement aims to strengthen business development activities, build community engagement, foster interactions between several stakeholders and improve knowledge-sharing.
