Implementing a full-scale R&D project or a larger R&D programme can be challenging from a technical and economic point of view. It also requires substantial resources, as it is sometimes difficult to assess whether or not the project is feasible before it has even begun. In these cases, it can be useful to start by first conducting a technical feasibility study.
This also gives you the opportunity to think through and plan the R&D activities to be launched in case the feasibility study is successful. The subsidy can cover a substantial proportion of the eligible costs directly related to the technical feasibility study.
