Luxinnovation will be at tech event Nexus 2050 on 26-27 June 2024 and highlight the data economy, Supercomputing Day and the Fit 4 Start Graduation Showcase.
Luxembourg and international players interested in topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, financial technology and talent attraction will gather at the end of June for Luxembourg’s new annual tech event Nexus 2050. Luxinnovation is one of the institutional partners of the event and will be present with a booth where participants can meet up with the agency’s staff at any time.
“Nexus 2050 is a great opportunity to meet up with our network and showcase how we can facilitate the innovation efforts of companies and other stakeholders,” says Laurent Futin, Head of Marketing at Luxinnovation.
Digital technologies are a focal point of the Nexus 2050 programme. The Ministry of the Economy and Luxinnovation will host a series of four panels on the topic “The data-driven economy: How AI boosts business and creativity”. Company executives and experts from Luxembourg and abroad will discuss the following topics:
One of the main attraction of the event will be the Fit 4 Start Graduate Showcase, which will put a spotlight on the participants of the 14th edition of the renowned startup acceleration programme. It will take place on 26 June at 17:30 on the Nexus main stage.
“After six months of expert coaching, the startups will pitch their refined solutions and go-to-market strategies to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and other specialists,” says Mr Futin. “We will also reveal the names of the startups that have graduated successfully – a recognition that opens the door to unlocking additional Fit 4 Start funding.” In addition, he hints that the evening will provide the first details about the next call for applications.
Luxinnovation is the coordinator of the Luxembourg Digital Transformation Hub (L-DIH), which supports the Luxembourg manufacturing sector and industry in its digital transformation. The L-DIH team will be present to offer its services to interested companies. Its counterparts from the other hubs in the Greater Region will also be there, opening the doors to digital solution providers in Luxembourg’s neighbouring countries.
Supercomputing Luxembourg is another initiative coordinated by Luxinnovation that will be featured at Nexus 2050. The initiative provides access to expertise, advice and training for supercomputing, high-performance data analytics and artificial intelligence. Its annual Supercomputing Day will take place as a side event on 27 June. “This will give participants at Nexus 2050 easy access to information about how they can benefit from supercomputing and how we can help them find the right partners, expertise and funding,” explains Mr Futin.
Further programme points involving Luxinnovation are still being finalised, and the agency will provide more information on its social media accounts over the coming weeks. “We are also looking forward to connecting with the international startups and delegations that will join the event,” Mr Futin points out. “We invite anyone interested in finding out more about how we can provide support to come and meet us.”
